At the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on the revenue management system “Flight Yield”, which is developed and managed by Airways for ANSPs as a new international service with CANSO and SITA. Many questions raised by VATM concerning features and benefits of Flight Yield system were clarified by Airways.

As mentioned by Airways, the Flight Yield was installed in New Zealand, China, Fiji and Saudi Arabia and has been considered as a solution to help the ANSPs to “minimum fuss and maximum return”. Therefore, Airways would like to discuss the implementation of this system with VATM in the future.

On behalf of the Corporation, Mr. Tien acknowledged and highly appreciated features and benefits of Flight Yield system. He expressed his belief that in the future VATM shall consider applying a new system/software at suitable time to enhance the effectiveness of billing process and air navigation fees collecting procedures. VATM shall contact Airways in case of necessity.
