At the invitation of Mr. Do Quang Viet - Director General of Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM), a delegation of 05 persons from Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) led by Mr. Kuah Kong Beng – Director (ATS), paid a working visit to VATM’s headquarters to join the ATS Coordination Meeting between VATM and CAAS on 8th April 2013.
At the courtesy call, Director General of VATM expressed his delight at VATM’s cooperative relations with CAAS during the past years and hoped that through the annual meeting on ATS operation, the cooperation between two sides would be facilitated, especially in ATS operation coordination. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Cong – Deputy Director General also welcomed the delegation of CAAS and official from CAAV participating in this event. He hoped that many fruitful results would be achieved through the meeting.
On CAAS’s side, Mr. Kuah Kong Beng thanked VATM for hosting the meeting. He believed that this event would be the opportunity to continue to collaborate in areas that would benefit the region and maintain the strong camaraderie between CAAS and VATM.
The meeting agreed to adopt four agenda, as follows:
- Update on organization structure and latest development of CAAS, CAAV and VATM
- ADS-B operational procedures and Operational LOA to incorporate ADS-B operations
- Discussion on the coordination on ATS route M753 and BITOD point between HCM ACC & Singapore ACC
- Discussion on AIDC between Hochiminh and Singapore ACCs.
The meeting was conducted in a cooperative and friendship atmosphere. At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed that the bi-lateral meeting had been useful and informative.
