This activity is a continuation of the research, exchange, and technical preparation that both sides have been carrying out under the project implementation, aiming to gradually complete the components serving the SWIM demonstration program. The focus of this working session is to review the preparation status of the modules, check the technical environment and connectivity capabilities, and perform integration tests between the systems and services participating in the two demo scenarios agreed upon within the project framework, including the Weather Scenario and the Medical Scenario.

On the first day of the meeting, both sides focused on discussing the current status of the development teams, the SWIM technical environment, and the joint testing plan. Technical aspects included testing network connectivity to the demo environment, confirming the deployment of SWIM-TI infrastructure such as AMQP brokers and Identity Providers, and reviewing the readiness of systems and services supporting the integration process.

Over the following days, the VATM and LFV Aviation Consulting expert teams will test the services under the two  demonstration scenarios. The planned activities include submitting and publishing flight plans according to FF-ICE, creating and distributing SIGMET, establishing ATFM measures, providing weather radar imagery, updating aircraft parking positions, exchanging event information, and updating arrival aircraft lists.

Besides technical testing , the program also includes operational testing and verification with the participation of relevant stakeholders’ representatives. Both sides will work together to run through the scenarios, compile emerging issues, further refine and integrate necessary components, before conducting a final test and agreeing on a work plan for the next phase on August 24th.

To coordinate the development of tools for the SWIM Demo, the SWIM team - comprising LFV Aviation Consulting and VATM, with collaboration with relevant stakeholders has established five development teams: the LFV Team, VNAIC Team, ATTECH/AMC Team, ATFMC Team, and NIA/ACV Team (coordinated through the ATFMC Team).

Within the framework of the workshop, VATM and LFV Aviation Consulting plan to jointly present and introduce  the Project, including a presentation on the SWIM demo program in December 2026, and preparations are underway. This will also be an opportunity to share with delegates in the region about the research process, scenario development, module development and integration for the demo, as well as the next steps in the project's implementation.

Through this working session, VATM and LFV Aviation Consulting aim to finalize the necessary technical, operational, and organizational aspects for the SWIM demonstration program in December 2026, while also continuing to accumulate practical experience to assess the feasibility of deploying SWIM in Vietnam within the scope of the Study.
