Air Traffic Services Coordination Meeting between Viet Nam & Singapore 2013
At the meeting the two sides agreed that, from 12 Dec. 2013, Viet Nam & Singapore will apply air traffic control & coordination procedures using automation dependant surveillance – broadcast system (ADS-B) for relevant airspaces as published by authorized organizations of the two countries. Besides, the two sides also agreed about the minimum separation and the ATC coordination procedures applying in the process of transferring aircraft over the responsibility boundary between Ho Chi Minh ACC and Singapore ACC (the case of application for ADS-B and non ADS-B equipped aircrafts). The two sides also signed the Letter of agreement between Ho Chi Minh ACC and Singapore ACC. The signed contents will be reviewed after a period of 6 months application, including the consideration of reducing the minimum separation to 30NM between aircrafts as Viet Nam expected.
AIDC application is one of the contents discussed at the Meeting. Although, there were some positive progress and basic success in the initial protocol testing with messages corresponding to the Viet Nam AIDC Ver. 1, the two sides agreed to continuously conduct technical trial test to ensure stability before officially putting into operation . The proposed technical test date is expected to start from December 9, 2013 .
During the time in Singapore, the delegation had honor to be welcomed by Director General of CAAS. The Director General also shared the latest information about the operation of CAAS. Taking this chance, the delegation visited Singapore's new ACC which has just put into operation from 15 Oct. 2013 .
VATM and CAAS appreciated the fruitful cooperation over the years and expressed their desire to continue to further strengthen the traditional cooperation to ensure Safety – Regularity – Efficiency for all flight operations in the region.
