ATS Coordination Meeting between Viet Nam and Singapore
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Rosly Saad said CAAS highly appreciated the close coordination between VATM and CAAS over the years and believed that the regular exchange, updating each other's situation will help strengthen the cooperation between two sides in order to contribute to ensuring the safety and efficiency of flight operations in the region.

The meeting focused on 7 major items including: Discuss on ATS contingency plan between HCM and Singapore ACCs; discuss on the relevant contents of ATS routes M756 and M768; review on Letter of Operational Coordination Agreement between HCM ACC and Singapore ACC; discuss on ATFM matters; Review of AIDC phase 2 between HCM and Singapore ACCs; Discuss on AMHS trial.
Based on the current air traffic situation and the application of new air traffic control procedure, the two sides reviewed and agreed to amend some provisions of Letter of Operational coordination Agreement (LOA) between HCM ACC and Singapore ACC dated 13 October 2016. The new LOA has been signed with the effective date from 1st July 2018.

At the meeting, the CAAS updated information on the progress of Distributed Multi –Nodal ATFM network participation. Viet Nam expected to start the upcoming trial with Singapore in the second quarter of 2018 with flights departing from Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat international airports for 3 Vietnam airlines namely Vietnam airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific and 4 foreign airlines namely Singapore Airlines, SilkAir, Jetstar Asia Airways, Scoot Tigerair. After trial phase, the two sides will conduct post analysis for the trial and to determine the next steps.
At the meeting, the two sides also informed each other about the operation of its organization and the aviation development in the region and affirmed the importance of close coordination amongst countries in the region, especially those with adjacent flight information region to ensure the safe and effectiveness of flight operation.
