Bilateral Coordination Meeting between VATM and CAAP

From 7-8 October  2024, a Bilateral Coordination Meeting between the Viet Nam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM)  and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines was held successfully at SORATS’ office in Ho Chi Minh city. 

The Meeting was attended by Ms. Jessica Adeline Jamero, Department Manager, ATC  and Airspace Management (ATCAM). VATM’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Dinh Cong chaired the Meeting  with participants from functional departments and the Southern Region Air Traffic Services Company (SORATS). 

The Bilateral Coordination Meeting between VATM and CAAP was organized to further enhance coordination and collaboration between the two sides, discussing and exchanging information related to flight operation coordination to ensure the safety, regularity and efficiency for flights operating over the flight information regions (FIRs) of Viet Nam the Philippines.

During the Meeting, participants discussed contents related to ATM contingency plan; Optimization of ATS routes N892 and L625, including the application of 50NM longitudinal spacing; AIDC implementation plan... 

Based on the discussion results, both sides agreed to sign the Supplementary Letter of Operational Coordination Agreement between Ho Chi Minh ACC and Manila ACC regarding the ATM Contingency Plan, which will take effect on 1^st  November 2024.
