General Manager of Aviation New Zealand visits VATM's headquarters

Aviation New Zealand is the pre-eminent aviation industry association with the total number of more than 600 members (400 company members & 200 individual members). With the assistance of New Zealand Embassy in Ha Noi and Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Aviation NZ wished to learn more about the developing aviation market in Viet Nam, highlight capacities of New Zealand’s aviation sector and seek for more cooperation opportunities between two sides.

At the meeting, Mr. Do Quang Viet - Director General of VATM expressed his delight to welcome the presence of the New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam and General Manager of Aviation New Zealand at VATM’s headquarters. Through the discussion, Aviation New Zealand and VATM exchanged information on the implementation of the project ATS Simulator of Northern Air Traffic Services Company (NORATS), demands on training cooperation in 2014 & capabilities of organizations operating in the area of New Zealand’s aviation industry. The two sides highly appreciated the long term, mutually beneficial relationships between the two countries in general and among organizations in the aviation fields of each country, especially in civil aviation training cooperation.

Both sides also highly appreciated fruitful results in the civil aviation fields between New Zealand and Vietnam in recent years and expressed their belief that the information shared at the meeting would create favorable conditions for the closely cooperation in aviation industry in the near future.
