VATM and Indra sign contract for ATM system of the new ATCC/HCM

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Sy Tung, on behalf of the Project Owner, emphasized: “Package 18 is the heart of the project of the Air Traffic Control Center Ho Chi Minh -ATCC/HCM. VATM and Indra are determined to implement the contract with the best efforts to comply with the schedule to deliver the system for air traffic control at the shortest possible time.”

ATCC/HCM project is a major project of VATM. In particular, Package 18: "Supply and Installation of ATM system" is the most important bidding package for air traffic management operation for the entire ​​HCM FIR. ATM system, along with other systems of the ATCC/HCM project, will provide air navigation services such as air traffic control, flight surveillance, communications, air traffic flow management, etc. for all civil flight operations, military transport, other specialized flights (VIP special flights, emergency flights, cartography flights, etc.) operating in HCM FIR.

In addition, ATCC/HCM will provide the approach control for the cluster of Long Thanh and Tan Son Nhat international airports when Phase 1 of Long Thanh International Airport project is completed and put into operation in 2025. Package 18 of the ATCC/HCM project is an international bidding package, organized following the procedure of 1 stage - 2 envelopes as provided in the Law on Bidding of Viet Nam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Maria Isabel, representative of Indra contractor, said: "Indra is pleasured to cooperate with VATM for the implementation of the Package 18 - Supply and Installation of ATM system under the ATCC/HCM project."
