VATM signs contract to procure radar systems for Long Thanh International Airport

Ha Noi, 07 January 2025, Viet Nam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) and Easat Radar Systems Limited (EASAT) sign contract for the Procurement Package TB02 “Supply and Installation of PSR, SSR systems” of the Project Component 2 “Air Traffic Management Facilities” under the Long Thanh International Airport Project. 

The Procurement Package TB02 is one of five procurement packages applying international open bidding procedure for the Project Component 2 “Air Traffic Management Facilities” under the Long Thanh International Airport Project. Other international bidding packages under this Project are TB03, TB04, TB05 and TB06 for procuring other ATC systems and equipment such as ATC Tower equipment systems, Meteorological systems, DVOR/DME and communication systems. The signed contract for TB02 package is the second international contract signed with the selected bidder under this project, after the contract signing of the TB06 package “Supply and installation of communication systems, equipment”. 

The contract is a lump-sum contract with the total value of more than 3,8 million USD, performance duration of 270 days and warranty duration of 48 months. With experience of supplying its products for more than 60 countries with more than 500 installations over the world since its establishment in 1987, EASAT is proud to be awarded the contract for this procurement package. Being aware of the timing target for the whole project, Mr. Mathew Reginal Jackson, Director and General Manager of EASAT showed its commitment to make the best efforts for good progress of the contract performance in order to deliver the systems in time in accordance with the target of the whole project. 

Speaking at the Contract Signing Ceremony, Mr. Ho Sy Tung – authorized representative of the Project Owner – VATM to sign the contract thanked EASAT team for proactively coordinating with VATM team in finalizing the contract for signing. The Project Owner’s representative wished that the two parties would cooperate closely in order to complete the package with good quality and progress, so VATM would have modern facilities in compliance with national and international standards and requirements, contributing in the provision of the air navigation services for safe and efficient air traffic operations when the Long Thanh International Airport is put into operation.
